Medal

A round medal with a scalloped edge shaped after the event logo. The upper half is white and carries the event name CHANG ISLAND BLUE HALF MARATHON 2026 by SAT; the lower half is a printed seascape of Koh Chang — clear blue water, a green rocky islet and distant mountains — crossed by a deep-blue wave ribbon.

The lanyard is navy with a brush-stroke texture, printed with 2026 and the by SAT mark.

Every finisher in every distance receives the medal. Half Marathon 21.1 KM finishers also receive a finisher shirt.

Registration Terms

Registration Terms

  • Applicants must provide accurate information — full name, gender, date of birth, nationality, and emergency contact details.
  • Payment must be completed within the time window the system allows, otherwise the application may be cancelled automatically.
  • A race BIB is non-transferable — it may not be given, lent, or sold to another person under any circumstances.
  • Each person may submit only one application per category. Registering using another person's name or information is prohibited.
  • Registration details can only be edited during the window the system has open for edits — check your registration page for the current status.
  • The organizer reserves the right to refuse or cancel any registration that does not follow the terms above, with no refund.

Competition Rules

Competition Rules

The race is run under rules based on the IAAF road running competition rules.

Race number (BIB)

  • Wear your BIB on the front of your chest, clearly visible at all times during the race.
  • If the BIB cannot be seen, or is worn for the wrong race or age group so that your category cannot be determined, the organizer reserves the right to withhold any award.
  • If the runner's name does not match the BIB being worn, the organizer reserves the right to withhold any award.

Checkpoints

  • You must pass every checkpoint. Missing any one of them results in a DQ (Disqualify) and forfeits the finisher medal.

Timing

The official race time is Gun Time, counted from the moment the start signal is given — every runner is treated as having started at that same second.

Trophies are decided on Gun Time only, and are awarded to runners who registered correctly, wore a clearly visible BIB, and passed every checkpoint.

Cut-off times

Distance Cut-off
21.1 KM 4 hours
10 KM 2 hours
5 KM 1 hour 30 minutes

Cut-off is counted from Gun Time so the roads can be reopened. If the start is delayed for safety reasons, the cut-off is counted from the actual start.

How to Get There

How to Get There

The start and finish are at the Chang Island ferry pier — the pier where ferries from the mainland dock — so runners crossing by ferry arrive directly at the venue.

Crossing to Koh Chang

  • Ferries leave from Laem Ngop, Trat, from two piers: Ao Thammachat ferry pier and Centrepoint pier.
  • Ferries carry both foot passengers and vehicles; the crossing takes about 30–45 minutes.
  • Check the first sailing of the day carefully — arriving on race morning may not leave enough time before the start. Crossing on race pack day (19 Sep) and staying on the island is recommended.

By private car

  • Bangkok → Bang Na–Trat Road (Highway 3) → Highway 344 → Highway 3 to Trat → Highway 3156 into Laem Ngop → ferry pier. About 315 km.
  • You can take your car on the ferry, or park at the mainland pier and use the island's songthaew.

By air

  • Fly to Trat Airport, then about 20 km by road to the Laem Ngop ferry piers.

By bus

  • Bangkok–Trat coach to Trat town, then a songthaew to the Laem Ngop ferry piers.
