Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 6 August 2026 Last Updated: 6 August 2026 (previous version: 1 January 2025)

RUNLAH.com values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our platform or use our services. By accessing or using RUNLAH.com, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please refrain from using our platform.

Please read this first. If you take part in a race we time, your name, gender, age group, club, photo, finish time and placing will be published on a public web page that anyone can view without signing in, and which may be found through search engines. Section 3.5 sets out exactly what is published; section 6.4 explains how to object.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us:

Account information Name (in Thai and/or English), email address, phone number, gender, date of birth, nationality, club or affiliation, profile photo, and address.

Identity information National ID number or passport number, which organizers use to verify participants at race pack collection and for accident insurance. You may enter it yourself or use our ID scanning feature.

Health information Blood type, and medical conditions or medical precautions. This category is sensitive personal data under Section 26 of the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562. We collect it solely for participant safety and disclose it only to the organizer and medical team of the race you enter. Providing this information is optional — you may leave it blank or remove it at any time from your profile page.

Emergency contact information The name, relationship and phone number of a person you nominate, used only in the event of an emergency during a race. If you provide another person's details, please make them aware.

Race entry information The race and distance you enter, shirt size, add-on options, delivery address, and any notes you provide.

Payment information Payments are handled by established payment providers (Omise, 2C2P). RUNLAH.com does not store your credit or debit card number. We retain only the payment status, amount, and transaction reference. For bank transfers, we store the payment slip image you upload.

Race information BIB number, timing chip number, finish time, checkpoint times, placing, and any prizes awarded.

3. Sharing Your Information

We may share your information under the following circumstances:

3.1 With Event Organizers

Your information is shared with the organizer of any event you enter, so that they can run the event. This includes entry details, payment status, add-on options, and your health and emergency contact information for the event's medical team. Each organizer is an independent data controller for the information they receive.

3.2 With Service Providers

We may share your information with third-party service providers, only as far as necessary, for payment processing, email delivery, analytics, and platform hosting.

3.3 Legal Obligations

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests (e.g., subpoenas or court orders).

3.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, sale, or acquisition, your information may be transferred to the new owner as part of the business assets.

3.5 Public Publication of Race Results

RUNLAH.com provides race timing and results publication. Race results are public. They are published on our website and can be viewed by anyone without signing in.

What is published

BIB number · name · gender · age group and race category · team or club · participant photo (where available) · finish time · checkpoint times · placing · prizes awarded.

What is not published

National ID and passport numbers · email address · phone number · date of birth · address · blood type · medical conditions · emergency contact · payment information and payment slips.

Where it is published

Results pages on our website · screens and broadcasts at the venue · result slips and finisher certificates that participants can download or print.

Search engine indexing

Category results pages are open to search engine indexing. Individual participant result pages and pre-race entry lists are not.

Retention

Race results are retained and published indefinitely as a historical record of the competition.

Legal basis

Publication of race results relies on performance of a contract (s.24(3)) and legitimate interest (s.24(5)), not on consent. Announcing results is intrinsic to a timed, ranked competition, and the record must remain complete and accurate to be fair to every participant.

You may object to the publication of your name and photo under section 6.4.

3.6 Division of Responsibility Between RUNLAH.com and Organizers

Events use our services to different extents, so responsibility differs.

Where you registered through RUNLAH.com — we collected your information directly and are responsible for both your entry data and the publication of results. Any request may be sent to us.

Where the organizer ran their own registration and uses our timing and results service — the organizer collected the information at source; we are responsible for its publication on our website.

In every case, requests concerning information shown on RUNLAH.com may be sent directly to us. We act on them ourselves, without routing them through the organizer.

However, your information as it appears on an organizer's own channels — their website, social media pages, printed material, or their own database — is outside our control. We cannot amend or remove it, and we do not forward requests on your behalf. Please contact the organizer directly. Organizer contact details are shown on each event's page on our website; if an event does not list them, contact us at support@runlah.com and we will provide the organizer's contact details.

4. Data Retention

Category Retention period
Published race results (section 3.5) Indefinitely, as a historical record of the competition
Race entry records Retained as the record of the transaction between you and the organizer
Profile information, including health and emergency contact data Until you amend or delete it yourself, or request account deletion
Accounting records, receipts and payment evidence Not less than 5 years, as required by accounting and tax law
Login history and system logs As long as necessary for platform security

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

5.1 Cookies

We use cookies to enhance your experience on our platform. Cookies are small files stored on your device that help us remember your preferences and analyze usage patterns.

5.2 Types of Cookies

  • Essential cookies: Required for the platform to work — keeping you signed in, remembering your language, and storing your cookie choice. These are always active and cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand overall site usage so we can improve the service. Provided through Google Analytics.
  • Marketing cookies: Used to show content and advertising relevant to your interests.

5.3 Managing Your Consent

Analytics and marketing cookies do not run until you consent. On your first visit a banner lets you accept all, reject all, or enable individual categories.

You can change your decision at any time through the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent applies to data collected from that point on.

Refusing non-essential cookies does not affect your use of the site or your ability to register for events.

5.4 Cookies Are Unrelated to the Publication of Race Results

Cookie settings concern website usage tracking only. They have no bearing on the publication of race results under section 3.5. Accepting cookies is not consent to publish your name, and refusing them does not remove your name from results pages. If you do not want your name to appear, please exercise the right in section 6.4.

6. Your Privacy Rights

6.1 Access and Updates

You have the right to access, update, or correct your personal information at any time by signing in and going to your profile page, or by contacting us at support@runlah.com.

Health and emergency contact information can be removed by you directly on the same page — clear the field and save.

6.2 Opting Out of Communications

You may opt out of promotional messages by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in our emails or updating your preferences in your account settings. Emails relating directly to your race entry and payments are service communications and cannot be switched off while that entry is active.

6.3 Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account by contacting support@runlah.com. When we act on that request:

What is deleted — your profile, all login credentials, login history, friend list, address book, personal receipts, cheer messages, and all account settings.

What is retained — your race entries, race results, and any post-event surveys you submitted. These are records of the competition and of transactions between you and the organizer rather than property of the account; removing them retroactively would affect the integrity of published results and of information organizers have already received.

If what you want is for your name not to appear on results pages, section 6.4 addresses that directly and does not require closing your account.

6.4 Right to Object to Publication of Race Results

You have the right to object to the publication of your name and photo on RUNLAH.com results pages.

How to exercise it — email support@runlah.com with the event name, your BIB number, and the name shown. We will act within 30 days of receiving the request.

What happens — your name and photo will no longer be shown on results pages; "Anonymous" is displayed instead. Your BIB number, times and placing remain, as these are competition statistics tied to the placings of other participants.

Limitations you should be aware of

  • Search engines that have already indexed a page may continue to show the earlier version until they next crawl it, which is outside our control.
  • Information already published on an organizer's channels or in other media, including printed material, cannot be recalled (see section 3.6).
  • Result slips and certificates downloaded by you or others beforehand remain in the possession of whoever downloaded them.

6.5 Other Statutory Rights

In addition to the above, you have the right to obtain a copy of your data, request its portability, request restriction of processing, withdraw consent previously given, and lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee, under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562. Contact us at support@runlah.com.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

8. Third-Party Links

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

9. Minors

RUNLAH.com does not allow anyone under 13 to create an account for themselves.

Many events include categories for children and young people. A parent or guardian may enter a child using their own account. In that case the parent or guardian provides the information and gives consent on the child's behalf, and is responsible for its accuracy.

Information about participants who are minors is used and published in the same way as for any other participant, as set out in section 3.5. A parent or guardian who does not want a child's name and photo to appear on results pages may exercise the right in section 6.4.

If you believe we have received a minor's information without a parent's or guardian's consent, please contact us at support@runlah.com.

10. International Users

If you are accessing RUNLAH.com from outside of Thailand, please note that your information will be processed and stored in Thailand or other countries where our servers or service providers are located. By using our platform, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations.

11. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any significant changes will be notified through our platform or email. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.

Changes in the 6 August 2026 revision — added section 3.5 on public publication of race results, section 3.6 on the division of responsibility between us and event organizers, and section 6.4 on the right to object to publication; and set out the categories of data collected, the legal basis for each purpose, and retention periods in full.
