SWIMATHON 2027 “MY RACE MIND CHALLENGE”

The 11th Edition — Beyond the Limits, Into the Mind.

A landmark of Thailand's open water swimming scene returns for its 11th edition. SWIMATHON 2027 runs under the concept “MY RACE MIND CHALLENGE” — on the open water, there is no greater opponent than the voice inside your own mind.

This is not only a test of your stroke and endurance, but a proving ground for focus, discipline and mental grit, set on the wide-open Laem Charoen Beach in Rayong, with the waves and wind of the Gulf of Thailand.

This year features both SWIMATHON and AQUARACE (run-swim-run) categories, backed by international Water Safety & Operations Standards and professional race management, so every athlete can push to their best with confidence.

2 laps of 5 km around the buoys off Laem Charoen Beach, starting and finishing on the beach — you must come ashore through the timing point after every lap; turning back into the water without passing it is a rule violation.

One 5 km lap around the buoys off Laem Charoen Beach, starting and finishing on the beach.

Swim out from the beach around the buoys and back to the finish on the beach.

Start 4:00 PM, Saturday 27 Feb | Cut Off reach the first buoy within 30 minutes of the start

Swim out from the beach around the buoy and back to the finish on the beach.

Start 06:15 AM, Sunday 28 Feb | Cut Off 08:45 AM (2 hours 30 minutes)

Run 4 km → Swim 2 km (2 laps) → Run 4 km — 8 km of running in total along Laem Charoen Beach, with the swim around the buoy off the beach.

Run 2 km → Swim 1 km (1 lap) → Run 2 km — 4 km of running in total along Laem Charoen Beach, with the swim around the buoy off the beach.

Teams of 3, each swimmer swims 500 m, on a triangular course around the buoys off the beach.

• Team types: Male x 3 · Female x 3 · Mixed x 3 (mixed teams can have any number of men and women)

• Applicants must provide accurate information — full name, gender, date of birth, nationality, and emergency contact details.
• Payment must be completed within the time window the system allows, otherwise the application may be cancelled automatically.
• A race BIB is non-transferable — it may not be given, lent, or sold to another person under any circumstances.
• Each person may submit only one application per category. Registering using another person's name or information is prohibited.
• Registration details can only be edited during the window the system has open for edits — check your registration page for the current status.
• The organizer reserves the right to refuse or cancel any registration that does not follow the terms above, with no refund.

1. By registering, every athlete agrees to follow all race rules and conditions.
2. Athletes have studied the race venue, travel, physical preparation and accommodation before registering.
3. Athletes confirm they are fit to race the distance they chose and are responsible for their own training.
4. Doping is strictly prohibited and is the most serious offence of this event, under the anti-doping law that protects athletes in all sports.
5. Athletes must follow staff instructions at all times, from the moment they pay the entry fee.
6. The race technical officials, together with the medical team, have final authority to withdraw an athlete from the race for health reasons. Athletes who withdraw or are disqualified must give their personal details (name, age, medical conditions, emergency contact) and return the timing device to staff immediately.
7. No assistance from friends, relatives, coaches or supporters is allowed on the course. Athletes must refuse any help immediately or face disqualification.
8. Race fairly. Do not block, obstruct or endanger other athletes, do not behave or speak rudely to staff, volunteers or medical teams, and avoid polluting or damaging the environment.
9. Anything not covered by these rules is decided by the Race Director, the Course Director, or an official appointed by the Race Director.
10. These rules may be amended with notice to athletes before the start, provided the changes do not take away athletes' rights.
11. Athletes must meet the age requirement on race day. All genders are welcome, with separate male and female categories.
12. Every lap, you must come ashore through the timing / lap-counting point. Turning back into the water for the next lap without passing it is a rule violation.
