เนื่องจากโรงพยาบาลบ้านธิได้ประสบกับปัญหาทางการเงินทำให้มีการขาดแคลนยาและเวชภัณฑ์ทางการแพทย์ ในการใช้งานเพื่อดูแลรักษาสุขภาพของประชาชนในอำเภอบ้านธิและอำเภอข้างเคียง ทางโรงพยาบาลบ้านธิจึงได้จัดกิจกรรมการวิ่งมินิมาราธอนขึ้นเพื่อหารายได้สมทบทุนในการซื้อยาและเวชภัณฑ์ขึ้น
